Project goal

To strengthening institutional capacities of Lithuanian NGOs, as well as to increase financial independence of non-governmental organizations.

Project results

Content management system of organization’s website www.gip-vilnius.lt  was renewed during the project implementation.

Additionally Knowledge hug programme was established. Seperate website section “Knowledge hub” was created and information on the training, experts and publications is stored there.

Mental Health Perspectives has elaborted training modules on the following topics:

  • Risk assessment and correction of delinquent behavior
  • AIDS and mental health
  • Human rights and advocacy
  • Establishing and managing an NGO
  • Preparation and implementation of the projects
  • Development cooperation, global aging and mental health

In summer 2013 NGO Mental Health Perspectives were enrolled into the Civil Service Department’s under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania list of institutions which provide trainings for civil servants. The first three modules were registered.

Alternative fundraising and trainings’ marketing strategies were ellaborated and piloted.

Training on fundraising and public relations was organised for Lithuanian NGOs.

Trainings for NGOs working in the fields of mental health and human rights were carried out:

  • NGO role in mental health policy (Telšiai region)
  • The aspects of project implementation (Kaunas region)
  • Project preparation and process management (Vilnius region)
  • Project preparation and process management (Marijampolė region)
  • Project preparation and process management (Tauragė region)
  • Project preparation and process management (Alytus region)
  • Project preparation and process management (Utena region)
