To provide psychosocial services for war-affected children and their families in Georgia.

Project results

The training focused on development of skills of the teachers and medical personnel who work in the refugee camps and buffer zones to recognize the post-traumatic stress syndrome. The specialists were provided with questionnaires allowing to recognize the post-traumatic stress syndrome and to select the most proper coping methods. As well a study on the psychosocial needs of the refugee children was carried out and recommendations were presented.
