About the project
The YoungMinds project aims to enhance teachers’ skills in addressing mental health topics using films as an educational resource. By leveraging films, the project fosters critical thinking, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding while reducing mental health stigma among students. The initiative also engages adolescents, parents, teachers, and professionals in mental health and audiovisual fields to promote mental health literacy within school communities.
Expected results
- A booklet of European films and documentaries focused on mental health;
- A handbook and lesson plans for teachers to use in classrooms;
- A capacity-building course for teachers on film-based education for mental health topics;
- Screening and debate events in partner schools, open to the broader educational community, to raise awareness about mental health.
