About the Project 

There is a growing international momentum to promote voluntary measures and practices in mental healthcare and to reduce the reliance on coercive measures, advocating human rights for vulnerable people with mental health challenges.

The main aim of this COST Action is to establish a sustainable, multidisciplinary network of researchers and practitioners focusing on implementing evidence-based practices in mental health services to implement voluntary cooperation and coercion-preventive practices in mental health care and community settings, ensuring long-term impact through continuous knowledge exchange, practical focus training and capacity building.

ENCORE aims to move from evidence based on isolated settings towards integral, large-scale implementation strategies for sustainable change of conduct in mental health and community settings to promote voluntary measures and practices across Europe.

Therefore, ENCORE will establish a sustainable pan-European research-to-implementation network that brings together essential stakeholders across various levels and countries, including researchers, healthcare staff, educators, managers and decision-makers, public mental health representatives, and government representatives.

The main outcome will be a Collaborative Redesign and a Transformation Ecosystem for mental healthcare (CReaTE), where community building, co-creation of training programmes, connections with Ambassadors and information and experience exchange with all relevant stakeholders will take place.
