Mainstreaming Youth Mental Health and Peer Support

Project objective:
To strengthen and mainstream youth mental health policies with a specific focus on peer support by fostering structured cooperation between Iceland, Lithuania, and Ukraine, and by developing joint networking, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing actions.

Planned results

  • At least 6 online meetings and 1 in-person meeting held between project partners.
  • 1 international networking meeting and 2 co-creation workshops implemented in Lithuania, engaging at least 25 participants from Iceland, Lithuania, and Ukraine — mental health professionals, youth workers, policymakers, and individuals with lived experience.
  • A synthesis report (minimum 25 pages) with unified guidelines and policy recommendations on mainstreaming peer support in youth mental health services, produced in English and translated into Icelandic, Lithuanian, and Ukrainian.
  • At least 300 printed brochures disseminated to relevant stakeholders and organisations.
  • Advocacy and communication activities carried out: 2 roundtable discussions, at least 3 bilateral meetings per country, 15 social media posts, 2 articles, and dissemination via 12 national and international networks.
